A malicious actor known as DoNot Team has been connected to a new string of highly targeted cyber attacks. The new android malwares is named Tanzeem, which means “organization” in Urdu. Tanzeem is an app which is supposed to function as a chat application, but instead shuts down once installed and necessary permissions are granted. The actor behind the malware is believed to be of Indian origin. While the exact targets of the new malware are not exactly clear, it is suspected that specific individuals were attacked in order to collect intelligence.
