ENGlobal Corporation, an energy sector contractor, is currently being affected by a ransomware attack. The company has taken some systems offline, and discovered the attack on November 25. In the attack, a hacker was able to access ENGlobal Corporation’s information technology (IT) system. The attacker was also able to encrypt some of the company’s data files. Currently, the company is only allowing access to essential business operations. ENGlobal Corporation is not yet sure when its systems will be restored and if the incident will impact any finances.
