A data breach of Excelsior Orthopaedics has impacted around 360,000 patients and employees. The information of these patients and employees was stolen in a June 2024 data breach after a ransomware attack. Potentially compromised information includes Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, health insurance information, and biometric information. The Monti ransomware group claims to be behind the incident, adding Excelsior to its Tor-based leak site a month after the attack occurred.
