F5 claims that nation-state hackers stolen their source code.
F5 disclosed a cyberattack by suspected Chinese state-sponsored hackers who gained long-term access to systems tied to its BIG-IP platform, stealing source code and data on undisclosed vulnerabilities. The breach also affected a small portion of customer configuration data, and impacted systems are still being reviewed, with notifications planned if necessary. The company detected the attack in August but delayed disclosure with DOJ approval, and currently reports no material impact on operations.
