The U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has announced a new cybersecurity safety label for consumer devices called the U.S. Cyber Trust Mark. This label will be given to “qualifying consumer smart products that meet robust cybersecurity standards.” The label will be paired with a QR code that users can scan to access further information about a product’s security. Products will have to be tested to ensure that they meet the program’s cybersecurity standards.
