Chrome 142 fixes critical V8 engine vulnerabilities.
Google’s Chrome 142 update patched 20 security flaws, including seven high-severity issues, four of which affected the V8 JavaScript engine. Two of those earned $50,000 bug bounties each, suggesting potential for remote code execution. Three other V8 bugs were discovered by Google’s Big Sleep AI but received no payouts. In total, Google paid $130,000 for fixes in this release.
