Hacker Group Claims Data Breach Exposing Records of 375,000 State Bank of India Customers

A threat actor group known as “Siriusim” has claimed on BreachForums to have leaked sensitive records belonging to State Bank of India (SBI) customers. The alleged dataset reportedly contains over 375,000 CSV rows and 2,722 PDF documents, including personal information, loan applications, and account files. Security researchers note that if legitimate, the compromised files could potentially involve KYC records, residential addresses, and supporting financial paperwork. State Bank of India has not yet issued an official statement regarding the claims, and the authenticity and origin of the leaked dataset remain unverified. Cybersecurity experts warn that unverified data leaks of this nature carry heightened risks for targeted phishing, identity theft, and financial fraud.
