Microsoft warned that its Teams platform is being exploited by hackers for a wide range of malicious activities, including reconnaissance, impersonation, malware delivery, and data theft. Attackers use social engineering and open-source tools to compromise accounts, impersonate IT staff, and gain access to sensitive data across organizations. Threat actors have even used Teams to send ransom notes and maintain persistence through compromised accounts and malicious shortcuts.
