Hackers say they nabbed Brazil’s police medical files in massive breach

Medical records of officers and families at risk in historic hack.

Cybercriminals posted on an underground forum claiming they breached health company Maida.health and stole two terabytes of Brazilian Military Police medical data. The alleged stolen information includes health records, identification cards, medical invoices, and clinical data for officers and their families across cardiology, neurology, and gynecology services. Researchers warn that this type of breach enables identity theft and medical fraud, where criminals impersonate victims to obtain care or prescriptions.
