Information stealer malware infections allowed malicious actors to breach Telefonica’s ticketing system. Actors were able to compromise Telefonica employees’ credentials and access the telecommunication company’s internal ticketing system. Last week, the data breach was discovered when the Hellcat ransomware group posted on the BreachForums cybercrime forum about stealing data from Telefonica. The attackers stole a list of around 24,000 Telefonica employees, as well as thousands of internal documents.
