Japan Airlines Was Hit by a Cyberattack, Delaying Flights During the Year-End Holiday Season 

On Thursday, Japan Airlines was hit by a cyberattack. The incident delayed over 20 domestic flights during the end-of-year holiday travel season. There was no threat to flight safety. The attack was discovered when the company’s network began to malfunction. The attackers were aiming to transmit massive amounts of data, overwhelming the network system. Experts are concerned about Japan’s cybersecurity vulnerabilities, stating that more work is needed to secure Japanese systems.
