Juniper Networks is warning of a Mirai botnet which is targeting their session smart routers (SSR). Routers using default passwords are being targeted in the botnet infection campaign. The impacted systems were being used to launch distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks against other systems. Juniper is advising customers to follow best practices and update default passwords.
