The LockBit ransomware group was hacked last week after its network was compromised, suffering another setback. The attack exposed LockBit data including Bitcoin addresses, private chats with victim organizations, and user information such as credentials. The attack was conducted by an unknown adversary who appears to be from Prague. The hacker posted a link to a zip archive on LockBit’s Dark Web leak site, containing information on over 70 LockBit administrators and affiliates. LockBit was once the most well-known ransomware group, but has suffered recent setbacks including law enforcement infiltration in early 2024.
