An unsecured database containing the nearly 1.5 billion records of Chinese nationals was discovered by cybersecurity researchers. The database contains records from several different companies across several sectors of the Chinese economy. The database had no signs of ownership and contained a mix of records that had previously been leaked and others which had not. The database also contained records of the Communist Party and other groups.
