Marks & Spencer Expects Ransomware Attack to Cost $400 Million

UK retailor Marks & Spencer estimates the cost of a recent ransomware attack to be $400 Million.

Major UK retailor Marks & Spencer has disclosed that a recent ransomware attack caused roughly $400 million in damage. The attack significantly disrupted the companies internal operations and the company is still restoring operations. The ransomware group DragonForce has claimed credit for the attack against Marks & Spencer as well as other UK and US retailors.
