Microsoft rolls out Windows Tamper Protection for Windows antivirus to keep hackers at bay

Microsoft has added a new security feature called Tamper Protection to Windows Defender, the built-in antivirus solution for modern Windows systems. Tamper Protection is designed to prevent malware from disabling or otherwise tampering with Windows Defender and other Windows security features. According to the tech giant, Tamper Protection blocks “malicious and unauthorized changes to security features, ensuring that endpoint security doesn’t go down.”

Microsoft first introduced the feature for a select group of Windows Insiders in December of last year, but has now made it generally available. Tamper Protection  is enabled by default for Windows home users.
