Firefox adds transparency rules for new extension data use.
Mozilla will require all new Firefox extensions to declare their data collection practices using a specific manifest key starting next week. This change applies only to new extensions and aims to give users clearer visibility during installation. Extensions must specify whether they collect personal data, and this information will appear on both the add-ons site and within the browser. By next year, all extensions must comply with the new declaration standard.
