A ransomware group has threated to release data it claims to have stolen from Nissan.
A Russia-linked ransomware group known as Everest claims to have stolen 900 GB of internal data from Nissan, threatening to leak it within five days if a ransom isn’t paid. Shared samples include internal documents such as dealership lists, addresses, lost & found key reports, and company program files. This follows several previous breaches at Nissan, including a December 2025 incident affecting 21,000 customers and a 2024 attack impacting employees across Australia and New Zealand.
