No one is safe from Pegasus: spyware detected on ordinary people’s phones

Self-scans of phones show that Pegasus spyware is far more common than expected.

Self-scans of mobile phones have shown that Pegasus spyware is far more common than expected. Scans have shown that 2.5 per 1,000 phones have been infected with the spyware. The spyware gives third parties extensive access to user’s mobile phones. The scans showed that the spyware had been installed on the users phones for several year and had not been detected by traditional security measures.
