North Korean-linked hackers are behind another ongoing fake IT worker scheme, attempting to impersonate individuals seeking remote employment. IT workers are impersonating Vietnamese, Japanese, and Singaporean citizens looking for engineering and software development positions in the U.S. and Japan. While past employee personation campaigns appeared to be seeking espionage, these attackers are aiming to earn cash which will help fund North Korea’s nuclear programs.
