A North Korean-backed threat group, TA406, is targeting Ukrainian government agencies in attempts to gather intelligence on Ukraine’s willingness and ability to fight back against Russia. The hackers are helping North Korea assess the risks posed to its troops deployed in Ukraine and figure out if Russia may need more. Historically, the group has targeted government and diplomatic entities in Russia, the U.S., and South Korea to gather intelligence.
