PayPal has been fined for exposing New Yorker’s social security numbers.

New York has fined PayPal $2 million for failing to protect the data of New Yorker’s. The company was found to be using under-trained staff to manage customer data. This left customer’s personal vulnerable to theft. PayPal has taken steps to better secure customer data going forward.
