The Russian-speaking cybercrime group Qilin has claimed responsibility for the recent cyberattack on Lee Enterprise, one of the largest newspaper groups in the U.S. The company reported the cyberattack last month, which resulted in a data breach. Qilin typically operates as a ransomware group, and has claimed the theft of around 350GB of data from Lee Enterprises. The attacker claims that the stolen information includes financial records, journalist payments, and insider news tactics. The group said that it plans to leak the data on March 5.
