Ransomware Attack Disrupts Georgia Hospital’s Access to Health Records 

Memorial Hospital and Manor in Bainbridge, Georgia has fallen victim to a ransomware attack and can no longer access its Electronic Health Record system. The attack was discovered over the weekend through a malware protection software. While the hospital’s operations were not impacted by the attack, it is unable to access patient health records. The hospital has launched an investigation into the incident, and has not yet said if any data was stolen. The Embargo ransomware group has claimed responsibility for the attack and is threatening to publicize allegedly stolen data.
