A recent Veeam report has quantified the refinement and pervasiveness of ransomware attacks, reporting that the percentage of companies impacted by ransomware attacks has declined from 75% to 69%. Despite the decline, the threat remains substantial, and ransomware attacks still pose a significant challenge to global organizations. Organizations must learn to recover more swiftly and effectively from ransomware attacks. The report also notes that exfiltration-only attacks, where hackers focus on stealing sensitive data, have increased.
