Last year, over 90% of IT and security leaders stated that their organization experienced a cyberattack. Of organizations experiencing a successful ransomware attack, 86% admitted that they paid the requested ransom in order to recover their data. The most common identified attack types were data breaches, malware on devices, cloud or SaaS breaches, phishing, and insider threats. Organizations are still hesitant to fully embrace the shift to cloud adoption, and these recent ransomware spikes show that the organizations that do may be oblivious to the risks that still exist with cloud services.
