Namibia’s telecommunications provider has suffered a significant ransomware attack. In December, Telecom Namibia revealed that it was the victim of a ransomware-as-a-service (RaaS) group, Hunters International. As a result, users’ information was leaked online and is now on the dark web. This incident highlights the growing threat of damage to critical infrastructure and ransomware attacks. Ransomware has accounted for a third of successful attacks in the region.
