Investigation examines possible Kremlin link to JLR manufacturing shutdown
Russia is a suspect in the September cyberattack that disabled all 800 of Jaguar Land Rover’s computer systems and forced production shutdowns at its UK factories for weeks, according to sources cited by The Telegraph. The National Cyber Security Centre and National Crime Agency are investigating whether the Kremlin directed the attack, with the Scattered Spider, LAPSUS$, and Shiny Hunters collective believed to be responsible. The UK government provided a £1.5 billion loan guarantee to support JLR and its supply chain during recovery, while the carmaker slowly returns to operations, affecting over 130,000 workers across the company and its suppliers.
