An investigation has found that a cyber attack carried out by Russia against Ukraine made use of Signal to transmit the malware. Ukrainain officials were targeted with signal messages and when they clicked on links that downloaded the malware. The investigation also found that the Russians were likely trying to establish a long term back door into Ukrainain systems.
