Liverpool City Council has been under sustained cyberattack for two years by the pro-Russian hacktivist group Noname057(16), which uses botnets to launch DDoS attacks. These attacks are part of a broader campaign targeting Western institutions that support Ukraine. Europol and other law enforcement agencies have responded by trying to disrupt the group’s infrastructure.
