Madhu Gottumukkala has been appointed as the new deputy director of the U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA). He previously served at South Dakota’s Bureau of Information and Technology as commissioner and chief information officer (CIO), as well as chief technology officer (CTO) for South Dakota. His background includes various senior and leadership-level IT roles across technology areas. Gottumukkala will become the number two top official at the cyber agency, with the main director role remaining unfilled.
