Sedgwick Confirms Cyberattack on Government Subsidiary

Sedgwick probes breach after ransomware group claims data theft.

Sedgwick confirmed a cyber incident at its Sedgwick Government Solutions subsidiary after the TridentLocker ransomware group claimed to have stolen and leaked 3.4 GB of data. The company says the breach was limited to an isolated file‑transfer system and that there’s no evidence attackers accessed claims management servers or broader networks. Sedgwick says operations continue normally and that law enforcement and clients have been notified. TridentLocker — a relatively new double‑extortion outfit — has been naming victims since November, positioning itself as a “data broker” while leaking stolen files on its Tor site.
