Singapore’s telecommunications operators have been targeted by a cyber attack.
A Chinese APT group, UNC3886, targeted all four major telecommunications operators in Singapore using a zero‑day firewall exploit and stealthy rootkits. The attackers gained only limited access to networks and obtained a small amount of technical data but did not disrupt services or access personal information. Singapore’s Cyber Security Agency worked with affected companies to cut off access, implement remediation, and expand monitoring.
