Spy v Spy: Russian APT Turla Caught Stealing From Pakistani APT 

A Russian hacking operation spent around two years with secret access to Pakistani cyberspies’ computer systems. The operation is known as Turla or Secret Blizzard and involved the control of 33 command servers. These servers were operated by Pakistani hackers who had accessed targets in the Afghan and Indian government. The Russian hackers were able to secretly control these computers and gain access to sensitive government information. They broke into a Pakistani APT’s command-and-control (C2) servers to then launch malware and access data. Turla’s tendency to exploit other threat actors’ C2 servers is something that sets them apart from other hacking groups.
