The New Hampshire Supreme Court says some of its case data was exposed in a cybersecurity breach. The Judicial Branch said names and cases from 2002 to 2015 were accessed by an unauthorized party back in March. The party got access to C-Track, the software used by the state Supreme Court to manage its cases. The breach was discovered a month later. The Judicial Branch says the case information has not been made public. The Branch also says there is no evidence that sensitive information like Social Security numbers was exposed. C-Track issued the following statement: C-Track recently discovered the unauthorized acquisition of certain information by a third party. Immediately after discovering this, C-Track took steps to contain the activity and secure the environment. As part of its cybersecurity incident response protocols, C-Track promptly engaged third-party cybersecurity experts and notified law enforcement. Affected customers have been notified as appropriate.
