Casio, a Japanese electronics company, has completed its investigation into an October 2024 ransomware attack. The electronics giant found that thousands of individuals were impacted by the incident. When the attack occurred, some of Casio’s systems failed and some services were disrupted. The company is now reporting that the attackers were able to gain access to Casio’s systems through vulnerabilities in the company’s overseas offices. Corporate documents and other internal data was compromised by the hackers, including information on employees, business partners, and customers. Around 1,900 business partners are impacted.
