Researchers have found that many highly used Android apps are vulnerable to the Frida tool.
Researchers have found that many highly used Android apps are vulnerable to the Frida reverse engineering tool. Only 3 of the 150 apps they tested detected the tool. Frida is a toolkit that is used for many reasons, but malicious actors are increasingly using it to reverse engineer apps to find vulnerabilities. The researchers found that the apps they tested were not secure against even the opensource version of Frida. The researchers did not name the specific apps that were tested, but said they selected the most popular apps based on number of daily users.
