Sean Plankey has been nominated as director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency by President Trump. His nomination will still need to be approved by the Senate. Plankey had served in Trump’s first administration as acting assistant secretary for the Office of Cybersecurity, Energy Security, and Emergency Response at the Department of Energy, and director for maritime and Pacific cybersecurity policy at the National Security Council. He was also formerly a weapons and tactics branch chief at U.S. Cyber Command.
