The UK and US have arrested two individuals connected to the Scattered Spider group.
UK authorities arrested Thalha Jubair and Owen Flowers, alleged members of the Scattered Spider hacking group. Jubair faces charges in the US for over 120 cyberattacks, including intrusions into 47 US organizations, and allegedly received $115 million in ransom payments. The group used social engineering to breach networks, steal data, and extort victims. Despite claims of retirement, cybersecurity experts believe Scattered Spider remains active, with recent attacks targeting the financial sector.
