US officials have expanded the list of companies affected by the Salt Typhoon hack.

US officials announced that a 9th telecommunications company was impacted by the Salt Typhoon hack. The government has not disclosed which company was added to the list, but said the company was added after it followed the government’s guidance for checking the security of their systems. The FCC has said they are exploring new rules regarding the cybersecurity of telecommunications companies.
