This week, Microsoft is patching its second-largest number of zero-day vulnerabilities ever. The company dropped patches for six vulnerabilities already being exploited in the wild, just one short of Microsoft’s all-time record of seven. Three of the bugs affect the NTFS file system. Microsoft disclosed 51 other bugs across the company’s products. Of these bugs, more than one-in-five were either exploited, publicly disclosed, or have a critical severity score. This number is very high compared to the overall number of CVEs.
