45% more people rejected at German border after checks were stepped up, minister says

Germany has stepped up security on its borders.

Germany’s interior minister has annouced that there has been a large increase in the number of people being turned away at the Germany border. Germany’s recent governments have attempted to decrease the number of individual immigrating to the country. The government has said they do not want to stop immigration, but want to better control who is allowed in the country.
