The M23 rebel group has begun to advance on Goma which is one of the largest cities in eastern Congo. The rebel advance was confirmed by Congolese authorities. The advance has also caused thousands of civilians to flee the area and set up refugee camps near other cities in the country. The M23 rebel group is suspected to be support by the Rwandan government.
