ADF fighters stormed Komanda church during midnight vigil

At 1 a.m. Sunday, Islamic State-aligned ADF rebels attacked a Catholic church in Komanda, killing 38 worshippers and five nearby villagers. Federal and local forces withdrew before the assault, enabling the militants to seize the town.
