Attack by gunmen leaves at least 40 people dead in Nigeria, the country’s president says

Nigeria’s president says that 40 people have died after a shooting.

Nigeria’s president has said that 40 people were killed after a shooting. The government stated that it believed the shooting to be connected to religous tensions. The shooting occured at a Christian farming community in the country’s North. Tensions betwen Christians and Muslims in the country’s North has been long standing and have lead to several violent outbursts.
