Bulgaria’s government has survived another no confidence vote.
Bulgarian Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov’s government survived its fifth no-confidence vote since taking office in January 2025. The motion, brought by opposition parties, criticized the government’s failure to reform justice and security sectors crucial for combating corruption. The vote ended with 133 lawmakers opposing the motion and 101 supporting it, falling short of the majority needed to pass.
