57 South Korean nationals were arrested in Cambodia on Wednesday.

On Thursday, Cambodian police said they arrested 57 South Korean nationals based on allegations of their involvement in online scams. The arrests happened during a police raid of a building near the capital, Phnom Penh. Accompanying the raid was a group of South Korean lawmakers who were there inspecting reports of alleged employment scams, illegal confinement, and torture of South Koreans. Arrests of South Koreans in Cambodia has been a growing trend recently.
