Colombian Senator Miguel Uribe Turbay was critically wounded in a shooting.

He underwent neurosurgery and a procedure on his left thigh, and he remains in intensive care with a critical condition. The incident occurred at a political rally where he sustained two gunshot wounds, two others were injured, and a 15-year-old was detained at the scene. Political and international leaders have expressed concern, while more than 100 officers continue investigating the shooting.
