Cuba has announced that it will release more than 500 prisoners as part of a deal with the Catholic Church. The United States has also announced that end its designation of Cuba as a state sponsor of terrorism as part of the deal the Church negotiated. Cuba has denied the the US’s action is related to the deal struck with the Church.
