Russia and Ukraine are continuing to launch drone offensives against each other despite claims from Russia that it was close to finalizing peace negotiations to end the war. This week, Russia has deployed hundreds of drones across multiple regions in Ukraine, coming just after Ukraine endured one of the heaviest aerial offensives of the war. The escalation prompted U.S. President Trump to threaten sanctions against Russia. Russia has now also begun to blame European leaders for the lack of diplomatic progress in peace talks between Russia and Ukraine.
